ABOUT Jazz Fellowship
Jazz Fellowship formed in 2022 as a new and exciting ensemble of talented Jazz musicians who entertain SoCal audiences with fresh interpretations of standard charts including straight-ahead Bebop, Latin Jazz, Soul Jazz, Bossa Nova, and the Great American Songbook.
Led by drummer and bandleader, Jon Watson, our instrumentalists have recorded and performed with many top names in Jazz, including Otmaro Ruiz, Alan Broadbent, Larance Marable, Bobby Bradford, Putter Smith, Gary Foster, Marvin “Smitty” Smith, Luther Hughes, and Danilo Lozano.
Our featured singer is a classically trained mezzo-soprano/contralto and jazz vocalist with over 20 years of performance experience in musical theatre, opera, choral ensemble, art song recital, classical competition, and jazz. She performed in DePaul Opera Theatre productions of Puccini’s Suor Angelica and Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado as well as Christmas celebrations at the White House and Blair House.
