Learn how to paint a dramatic seascape using acrylic paint. Each participant will complete their personal masterpiece on canvas. Discussion topics and demonstrations will highlight the basics, color, composition, perspective, horizon line, focal points, vanishing point, directional brush strokes, motion of the ocean, heart of the art and more.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
In this class, you will learn to make a pair of sterling silver earrings with beads or stones. Learn how to choose and use the correct tools and techniques to make the turns necessary to complete the earrings, including how to finish them. When the class is completed, you will be able to wear the earrings you designed and fabricated!

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Learn how to express your feelings on subjects of a boat or a lighthouse, in a step-by-step water-mixable (no solvent) oil painting session. The process will include simple sketching on paper, followed by painting on a small canvas panel. Painting will focus on gesture underpainting, block-in, color defining, and finish.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Learn how to do Viking Knit using a dowel and 26 gauge copper wire. The Instructor will show you how to set up the process, how to add lengths of wire, how to add end caps, and how to create a bracelet.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Learn the basics on how to paint nature scenes including landscapes, trees and water. An emphasis will be on the basics of color mixing, brush strokes and to how to create perspective and depth in your paintings.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
In this workshop you will create a mandala (circle) design while learning several techniques for the use of watercolor pencils on watercolor paper. Step-by-step guidance will be provided in the design of your mandala. There will also be an opportunity to try the technique on mulberry paper, and experience the difference between the two types of paper. You will learn about mandalas, including their description, history, and presence in nature. Mandalas represent joy, transformation, healing and peace. Many people find that the process of creating a mandala can be a meditative experience. Watercolor pencil techniques, what are mandalas?, and how to create your own mandala designs will be covered.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Learn the origin of scratch, the tools, transfer process, techniques, touch, transitions, tinting and treatment. Class will cover working on a sphere, which will introduce students to all aspects of scratching techniques, including blending, highlighting, fading, curving, etc. Students can create an image of their choice on a 5"x 7" board — and finish it with color (or leave black & white).

Two-session workshop. 18 and older only.
Bring two 5x7 printouts of the same image you want work on. The Instructor will also have some choices.
