A New Sea Lion Sculpture, Generously Donated by Laguna Art-A-Fair, Will Caravan to the Pacific Marine Mammal Center to Greet Guests on Aug. 20
Laguna Beach, Calif. – August 12, 2016 – After the artists participating in Laguna Art-A-Fair spent the season painting a sea lion sculpture, the soon-to-be-named creation is finally heading to its “furever” home at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center. Guests are invited to witness as the commemorative parade makes its way up Laguna Canyon Road on Saturday, Aug. 20, at 12:30 p.m. Beginning at the Laguna Art-A-Fair, the sea lion will be transferred, in a donated Meathead Movers truck, to the Pacific Marine Mammal Center, where a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony with the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce will take place at 1 p.m.
As an additional community experience, the Laguna Art-A-Fair is hosting a call for names for the sea lion. To participate, and to learn more, please visit the Laguna Art-A-Fair Facebook page.
