Art-A-Fair Goes Out With a Bang
Laguna Beach, Aug. 22, 2008 – As tourists are busily packing their bags to go home, Art-A-Fair is planning a closing night carnivale for Sat. Aug. 30 from 5:00 – 10:00 p.m. This will be the last chance to stroll the lively streets of the Venetian-themed Palazzo Laguna and enjoy the work of the 125 artist exhibitors before the 42nd annual season draws to a close.
It will also be the final opportunity to bid on the silent auction items displayed all summer. Artwork hanging in the AAF entryway has been donated by artists to the Art-A-Fair Foundation, and proceeds will be used to help support the arts in schools. There are also auction items with proceeds earmarked for grounds improvements, including services at Ziba Day Spa, an BMW M6 child’s pedal car, and a necklace by designer Karen Larsen.
Admittance to this evening’s festivities is open to all and ticket prices will be $3.50 all day. All tickets are season passes, so those who’ve visited previously can use their pass to gain entry.
Swingsensations will be entertaining Sat. from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. and, strolling doo-wop darlings, Augie’s Side Effect from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Complimentary refreshments will be provided by the artists, and TivoliToo! will also be open for food and beverages, and two-for-one margaritas from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
