Laguna Beach Art-A-Fair Celebrates 45th Anniversary – Visitors Enjoy FREE Admission on Sunday, August 7

July 28, 2011 – Laguna Beach, CA – Celebrating 45 years of exhibiting fine art in all mediums, Art-A-Fair, the finer arts festival of Laguna Beach, will hold a day of commemorative festivities on Sunday, August 7th. The daylong celebration will include complimentary admission for all visitors.

Arty, Art-A-Fair’s 45th anniversary character specially created for this year only, has been hidden daily this season on the grounds. The first visitor to find him each day has been awarded an art prize created by Art-A-Fair’s renowned artists. On August 7th, Arty will be hidden on an hourly basis, providing visitors multiple opportunities to find him and take home an exceptional piece of art.

While viewing art by Art-A-Fair’s 125 international, national and local artists, the sounds of live Caribbean music by Upstream and smooth jazz by Rideshare will fill the air. Sunday’s art workshop, which continues the daily art workshops offered throughout the season, will feature collage. It will be taught by juried Art-A-Fair artist, Agnes Copeland, a mixed media and watercolor artist. Aspiring and established artists may sign up for a two hour session from 10:30am-12:30pm or 1pm-3pm for $30 or all four hours for just $45.

Art-A-Fair is open daily Sunday through Thursday from 10am-9pm and Friday and Saturday from 10am-10pm. Live entertainment can be enjoyed Thursdays through Sundays. Complimentary admission will also be offered August 27 and 28, the show’s final weekend, in appreciation of Art-A-Fair patrons. The show will close at 6pm Sunday, August 28.
