Fantastic Turnout at Laguna Art-A-Fair Jury Day

Fantastic Turnout at Art-A-Fair Jury Day

February 9th, 2015- Laguna Beach. California – Artists flocked to Laguna on Sunday, February 8th, to participate in the 49th annual Jury Day for the Art-A-Fair Fine Art Festival. Art-A-Fair features artists from the local community in addition to national and international entrants. The summer show runs nine and a half weeks from June 26th to August 30th.

This year saw approximately 150 hopefuls submit their best work in two- and three-dimensional media ranging from textiles and sculpture to photography and paintings. After all the applications were processed, the eleven person jury—consisting of professional fine artists and master craftsmen—spent hours viewing art previously submitted online as well as that which was brought in on jury day.  Jurors use a point system that rewards excellence in conception, execution and presentation.

One of the unique qualities of the show is the high level gallery quality of the art and the interactive style of the show itself with workshops, demonstrations and a chance to get to know the artists and their creative processes. Over 60,000 visitors are expected to attend the festival this year.

This is a rare opportunity for anyone interested in art and it provides an inspiring platform for young artists to learn and be creative. The summer show features great art, food and entertainment and is not to be missed. For more information and ongoing updates go to
