Artist – Richard Everson

Rich Everson 2015

Rich, a Southern California native, has been creating Photographic images for over 30 years in his pass time. While he worked 22 years as a Manager at a Fortune 100 company, his passion has always been to create photographic images…but time was scarce.  Recently Rich has been able to devote quality time to his passion of creating artistic images. Driven and influenced by the great photographic legends and by the great painters of the past, his work combines an influence of both mediums.

Starting in the late 70s and early 80s, Rich was shooting film. He did all of his own developing and printing.  He spent countless hours in his darkroom learning techniques still used today in the digital world. Missing some aspects of the film days, he enjoys the freedom that the digital workflow offers and the ability to work on images on the road.

In 2010, Rich entered his first “Fine Art Photography Competition” at the OC Fair, taking 3rd place at this competition.  Since 2010 Rich has had his works shown at this event, received many awards and has sold pieces of his work to private parties.

Rich spends as much time traveling as possible and always with his camera in hand.  Rich has photographed in Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Northern Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Arizona, Nevada, Southern California, Central and Northern California. He has photographed abroad in the United Kingdom and France. He also photographed the Mayan Ruins in Mexico.  He is drawn to the California Central Coast and the openness of Utah.  Rich likes to re-charge himself at Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite a few times a year in the off season.
