A Southern California native, Amanda began drawing and painting at an early age. Art has always been a part of her life, bringing much joy, interest and passion in a variety of ways.
After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, she began her career in the museum field. She also continued her artistic development painting beautiful realistic watercolors independently. After working many years at museums, a new opportunity came her way to become an illustrator. This new career provided her more time to pursue her fine art watercolors, and soon to follow oil paintings.
Amanda is a traditional representational fine artist. Her still life oil paintings capture her passion and love of antique objects, exciting colors and textures. Her delicate brushwork and thin layers of transparent color give her paintings a fresh painterly feel. She retains a realistic and classical look that her viewer responds to.
“I am drawn to the visual richness of objects. It is my desire to interpret the grace and beauty I see when bringing a variety of items together.”
Amanda participates in national juried shows, outdoor art festivals and is represented by Debra Huse Gallery. She conducts gallery workshops as well as private oil painting lessons. She is an award winning artist who has been featured in American Art Collector Magazine, and in Southwest Art Magazine: “Artist to Watch.”
