About Piper MacKay Piper Mackay has photographed people, wildlife and locations throughout Africa, Asia and North America. Prior to discovering her passion for photography she spent 20 years in the Fashion Industry designing clothing and textiles, where her years working with color and texture have greatly enhanced her eye for color and texture in photography. She traveled through Asia during her fashion career where she gained her passion to seek out indigenous cultures. Although the colors of India are some of the most decorated and strikingly beautiful of the cultures she has photographed, the time she has spent with Maasia and Sumburu tribes in East Africa have been some of the most fascinating and exciting of her experiences with indigenous cultures. Her Passion for wildlife and the African people take her back there often. She has also inspired several others to travel abroad by sharing her passion and excitement of photography and travel, through talks and slide presentations.  |
