Her current watercolor heroes are Tim Clark, Carl Purcell, Roland Lee, and JK Reed. Her paintings are of things she loves in life: the beaches from Baja to New Zealand, Southwestern and Midwestern landscapes, children, ordinary people, and ordinary cats. Her artist's statement : "I love watching and seeing children, light and shadows, oceans, sea birds, textures of old walls and ancient structures, people working, anything visually interesting! I want to remember these things with the spontaneity and freshness of watercolors so I keep working and learning. My favorite painting is always the next one I'm going to do!" |
